February 2024 Update

We hope you have are enjoying the beautiful sailing weather in the last months of summer. Our Sailing School's Term 1 programs are off to a great start and our club racing is continuing each Sunday.

Try Sailing Days: Our Try Sailing Days and Basics of Sailing social evenings are proving to be a continued success, driving awareness of the joys of sailing, our club facilities and the lessons we offer. Since October, our Try Sailing attracted 350 attendees, mostly adults and resulted in many signing up for our adult sailing learn to sail. These events run each month to promote our community club and sailing. The next event is scheduled for Sunday 3 March from 10am Please invite your friends and family to come along. Try Sailing Day 3 March and Sailing Basics Social Evening on Tuesday 12 March.

Sailing School Information Sessions: New to our sailing school and not from a sailing back ground? We have information sessions for parents to come and meet fellow parents, club members and staff to learn about the sailing pathway and the options for your young sailors and yourself here at the club. We would love to see you at WSC at one of our sailing school information sessions. We look forward to seeing you at the club whether your coming to one of our events, coming for a sail or a paddle or just to say hi. Register here: Saturday 17th 1pm -2pm and Wednesday 21st 5pm-6pm

Sail GP: Sail GP is taking place on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th February. We are the proud host club to the Spanish team for the adopt a club community outreach program. There is an opportunity for our junior sailors to take part in a technical site tour- (date to be confirmed due to a delay in the shipment of the Sail GP vessels).

Shark Island Paddlers Club Day: The Shark Island Paddlers Club Day is Saturday 17 February 7am-11am. From seasoned paddlers to newbies - all are welcome to participate in this free event. Paddle 1,2 or 3 laps around shark Island and head back to WSC for a free BBQ. register If you have your paddling craft stored at WSC and keen to connect with other paddlers, please let us know: [email protected]
