Some very good, sad, and exciting news
Published 03:01 on 16 Feb 2022There are some exciting staff changes taking place at the Club.
The good. Juliet has been offered a scholarship to study full time at Charles Stuart University. This is a great opportunity for Juliet, and we wish her well in this and future endeavours.
The Sad. Unfortunately, this means Juliet will no longer be working at Woollahra in the capacity of Sailing School Manager. I pass on the Club's thanks to Juliet for the great work she has done in the time she has been with us. Juliet hit the ground running in November and has organised and delivered great programmes since then including record breaking school holiday and term 1 enrolments. She leaves us with term one setup and running well. Thank you.
The exciting. Leon Wilson will be returning to the Club in March to take on the role of Sailing School Manager. Leon has previously worked at the Club and many of us have fond memories of his involvement at the Club. I am sure he will be warmly welcomed back to the Club.
More good news. Although Juliet is leaving the Sailing School Manager role she has agreed to stay on and help with Sailing School administration. This is one of Juliet's great strengths. I am sure all those who have interacted with her will be please to know she is staying on and assisting Leon. This is a great outcome for the Club and will make Leon's transition much easier. Juliet is also keen to work at the Club during University holidays so we will continue to enjoy her presence, skills, and abilities.
When you get a chance, please wish Juliet all the best and welcome Leon back to the Club.
