As the leaderboard begins to take shape across the Open and Intermediate fleets, attention now turns across the harbour to Kirribilli. Hosted by Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron, Round 2 will provide a fresh tactical challenge for competitors, with sailors needing to adapt quickly to the dynamic harbour conditions and shifting breezes that make Sydney Harbour one of the world's most iconic sailing venues.

Competing at RSYS gives junior sailors the opportunity to race from one of Australia's most prestigious and historic yacht clubs, set against the iconic backdrop of the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge. Founded in 1862, the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron has played a significant role in shaping Australia's sailing legacy, from leading the nation's first three America's Cup challenges to contributing to Australia's first Olympic sailing gold medal. Today, that proud tradition continues through strong and active sailing programs, including regular race series, national and international regattas, and the RSYS Sailing Academy, which supports sailors of all ages and abilities.

The three-round winter series continues to play a vital role in junior sailor development, bridging the gap between local club racing and state-level competition. A strong community atmosphere is expected at RSYS, with parents, coaches, members, and volunteers gathering along the waterfront to support the fleet.

The successful delivery of the 2026 championship is supported by the generosity of host clubs and industry sponsors, who have supplied prizes and equipment for competitors. These include Ronstan, Boat Crew Gear, North Sails, White Bay 6 Marine Park, Vaikobi, NB Sailsports, and Rooster Australia. On-water action throughout the series is being captured by official event photographer @mainsheet.in and shared via @NSWIODA on Instagram.

Registration for Round 2 opens at 8:00 AM at RSYS on Sunday, 24 May, followed by competitor briefings. The first warning signal is scheduled for 10:00 AM.
