Continue your sailing adventure! WSC Pacer Pathway Program
To participate in this program, you need to have completed basic sailing skills training and be ready to venture out on your own. See here for details of how to get started.
The Pacer Pathway Program is designed to help people on their sailing journey build on exisiting skills to confidently sail on their own - whether the aim is cruising or working towards racing. The program is for people who have completed the WSC Adult Learn to Sail program (or have equivalent competencies) but most importantly those are keen to continue their sailing adventure in a fun, supported environment.
The Pacer Pathway Program provides briefings, tips and on-water support and coaching to help you build your skills and knowledge. Prior to launching on the first on water session, we will provide tips on how to launch and return to the ramp safely! The program starts with an evening information session and then 5 on-water sessions held on Sunday mornings from 9.30am to 12pm.
Pacer Pathway Program Summary
To participate in the Pacer Pathway Program, you need a level of proficiency in sailing - completed the Better Sailing program or similar level of experience. The Pacer is best sailed with two people but don't worry if you don't have a skipper or crew, we can assist. Stan will also provide some information on safety basics.
Pricing The program includes Sailing Competency Assessment, dinghy hire, on water support and coaching, theory sessions, pre and post sailing briefings across 5 x 2.5-hour sailing sessions. Program cost for WSC Members $355 and program cost for non-members $395.
