Our one-day camp Rose Bay Adventure Club is for primary school children aged 7 and older - have a great day of water activities and then come back for more!!

Kids learn to sail (Tackers) 7 -11 year olds

The Tackers Programs introduce children to sailing in a fun, safe, accessible and affordable way. The program offers children the opportunity to start on a pathway to ongoing involvement in sailing and clubs, gradually progressing over several seasons. Tackers is a fun introductory, games-based sailing program designed for kids aged 7-11 yrs. Kids don't need to have any sailing experience or club membership to participate. All the equipment, including the boats, is provided. Our instructors are qualified by Australian Sailing, our governing sporting body. There are options to do tackers during school terms (after school and weekends) as well as during school holidays.

Teens Learn to Sail 12 - 17 year olds

A perfect way to try out sailing and have fun on the water. The programs use our stand-up paddle boards, kayaks and powerboats to keep the program fun and safe in all conditions. The program is created for 12 to 17 year olds who are interested in trying out sailing in a non-competitive, social and fun setting while encouraging teenagers to learn new skills and spend time with friends in a new and exciting environment. The Club uses a wide variety of boats including dinghies, Stand Up Paddle Boards, Windsurfers and Power boat adventures during our programs. All Sailing programs for sailing and windsurfing are delivered by qualified Australian Sailing Instructors.
There is flexibility and variety in a fun focused setting, whilst still providing them with important life skills. The key aspect of this program is to facilitate a social environment where teenagers are able to cultivate real friendships with others from their local area, whilst potentially igniting a love for sailing in the process. Socialisation and fun both on and off the water are paramount; club culture is inclusive of everyone and there is plenty for parents and teenagers to get involved. There are options to do Tackers during school terms (after school and weekends) as well as during school holidays. Teens can join a number of more advanced programs to further build sailing skills such as the Pacer Pathway Program LINK which a great to gain the skills and confidence in a supported environment to learn to sail on your own and if interested work towards racing.
