Woollahra Sailing Club is proud to host the SailGP Inspire programme. This programme brings you sailors together to compete along side the SailGP boats on Sydney harbour. This year the inspire programme featured Waszps and Fevas.

Woollahra young guns - Otto Henry, Miles Davey, and Henry Larkings are taking the world by storm. All three represented Woollahra in National and World events as juniors and have recently joined the senior classes.

117 boats made it to Adelaide from across Australia to compete at the Optimst nationals. We had a strong showing with 16 boats travelling for the event beaten by 1 boat for the most participants by Brighton and Seacliff Yacht club (5km away from the event). The 2021 Optimist NSW State Championships were held at the Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club over the weekend of the 20th and 21st of March. Despite road-closures on the way to the regatta and torrential rain throughout the weekend, 6 races were completed and the event was a great success. Our young club sailors displayed great determination and enthusiasm despite the testing conditions! It was a terrific team to be representing the club!

In November this year, Brett Beyer was honoured by the NSW/ACT Laser Association with Lifetime Membership. Usually this kind of award comes to an athlete at the end of a distinguished career, a mark of respect for a once great contributor.
