The Tackers Programme is aimed at introducing children to sailing in a fun, safe, accessible and affordable way.
The program offers children the opportunity to start on a pathway to ongoing involvement in clubs, gradually progressing through over several seasons.
Tackers is a fun introductory, games-based sailing program designed for kids aged 7-11 yrs. Kids don't need to have any sailing experience or club membership to participate. All the equipment, including the boats, is provided. Our instructors are qualified by Australian Sailing, our governing sporting body.
OutThere Sailing is the perfect way to try out sailing and have fun on the water. OutThere Sailing also makes use of our stand up paddle boards, kayaks and powerboats to keep the program fun and safe in all conditions. The program is created for 12-17 year old's who are interested in trying out sailing in a non-competitive, social and fun setting. OutThere Sailing encourages teenagers to learn new skills and spend time with friends in a new and exciting environment. The Club uses a wide variety of boats including Dinghies, Stand Up Paddle Boards, Windsurfers and Power boat adventures during our programs. All OutThere Sailing programs are delivered by qualified Australian Sailing Instructors.
OutThere Sailing will give teenagers the flexibility & variety they want in a fun focused setting, whilst still providing them with important life skills. The key aspect of this program is to facilitate a social environment where teenagers are able to cultivate real friendships with other's from their local area, whilst potentially igniting a love for sailing in the process. Socialisation and fun both on and off the water are paramount; club culture is inclusive of everyone and there is plenty for parents and teenagers to get involved with.
