Optimist Container - Adelaide Nationals

Updated 11/12/23 - Container loading will be scheduled 3pm Wednesday 13th December at Woollahra Sailing Club. Expected pack time will be 4hrs - 5hrs. Please ensure all equipment is present in your child's Optimist. Extra hands appreciated for loading with 1 boat representative a normal container loading. If you cannot attend WSC staff members will ensure your boat is transported/loaded safely, in this case it is the responsibility of the owners to ensure equipment - boat all together. All simple stuff and any queries contact Dan for further assistance.
WSC Optimist Transport
Woollahra Sailing Club members and Academy. A container has been secured to transport members Optimist for the round trip for the national championships in Adelaide SA.
The container will depart Sydney after Sail Regatta 2023 expected to depart 12th Dec . For SORS regatta the club has organised some Optimist dinghies to be available.
It is planned to arrive prior the 3rd Jan at the venue in Adelaide and return after the event.
Fortunately a club member associate has organised a discount / support sponsorship from a company. We are expecting to fit 10 boats in 1 x 20ft container and a second container is on standby shall it be required.
Price is an approximate however $3000.00 return for the container & $1500.00 for transport/truck to venue. Price will be +/- a small amount so expecting families to pay around $450 each for the transport.
