NSW STATE YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIPS 2023
Program:
- Tuesday/Wednesday - Boat transport
- Wednesday 27th: Coaching Clinic (AS)
- Thursday 28th: Coaching Clinic (AS)
- Friday 29th: Coaching Clinic (AS)
- Saturday 30th: Regatta (WSC Coach Support)
- Sunday 1st October: Regatta (WSC Coach Support)
- Monday 2nd October: Regatta (WSC Coach Support)
Location: Teralba Amateur Sailing Club, Lake Macquarie.
Coaching clinic: (link: Lake Mac NSW Youth Sail - Australian Sailing - Youth (sailingyouth.org.au) ) Australian Sailing invites all sailors to join the clinic and takes charge of coaching staff during the first three days.
Regatta: WSC will provide coach support during the regatta.
Prices:
- Member: $400 (3 days coach support)
- Non Member: $480 (3 days coach support)
- Boat Transport (Return): $50
Why is this more expensive than onsite or local training? On top of paying our coaches, we also need to cover the cost of accommodation and transport.
Accommodation: must be booked individually for each sailor and must be accompanied by a guardian.
Team dinner: on Saturday 30th of September, a WSC dinner will be organized for all our sailors to sit together around the table and team-up for the remaining of the event.
Logistics: driving to Lake Macquarie will happen on Tuesday 26th or Wednesday 27th (early morning) of September, and the return will take place as soon as possible after the last race on Monday 2nd of October. Two volunteer drivers with a towbar will be encouraged to take the coach boats up to Lake Macquarie with reimbursement from WSC for expenses.
