Green Fleet
Green fleet is the progression after Tackers 3, for sailors to continue on the racing sailing pathway and provides an introduction to racing, with simplified rules and shorter race courses.
Our Green Fleet sailors must own their own fibreglass boat at this level - they may start using a club boat while a fibreglass boat is procured. Sailors will be taught to rig and care for their own boat, teaching independence and building their confidence. Throughout the course sailors will learn safe boat handling skills with our structured yet fun course curriculum.
It is recommended that sailors participate in two full sessions per week per term at this level.
Course times:
Sunday sessions run from 2:30pm to 5pm for 8 weeks.
- 2:00pm Arrive to rig boat (parents to supervise)
- 2:30pm Coach Briefing and then out on the water
- 5:00pm Pick Up
Week 8 (Sunday 3rd December) will be moved to 08:30am to 11:00am to allow sailors to attend the WSC Christmas Party in the afternoon.
