Green Adventure is a program designed specifically by Woollahra Sailing Club for sailors who have completed Tackers 3 and would like to further progress their sailing skills without the competitive aspects of racing.
We use a more relaxed teaching structure to further develop each sailors independence and sailing knowledge with a fun, games based and social approach. The children will be provided boats by the Club which they will learn to rig independently, they will then further enhance their safe boat handling skills and knowledge by taking to the waters of Rose Bay and around Shark Island.
It is recommended that sailors participate in two full sessions per week per term.
Wednesday Afternoon from 4pm to 6pm for 8 weeks
Please arrive to rig boat as early as practical (parents to please supervise)
Qualifying for Green Fleet sailors must:
* Have completed Tackers 3 or equivalent
* Current membership at Woollahra Sailing Club - An associate and Junior membership is complementary for the 1st year
Progression
Sailors at any stage can progress from Green Adventure to Green Fleet and onto the Opti performance sailing Pathway
From Green Adventure sailors can also choose to progress to Teens Out There Sailing
