ACT Optimist Championships

ACT OPTIMIST CHAMPIONSHIP

Location: Canberra Yacht Club.

Coaching: WSC lead Optimist coach Ryan Littlechild will be coaching Open and Intermediates for the regatta. He will be supporting and enhancing sailors racing skills for the regatta. Tickets can be purchased for coaching below which includes full on water support and safety as well as pre and post race briefings.

Accommodation: must be booked individually for each sailor and must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

Team dinner: (tbc) for Saturday 28th evening & coordinated with the WSC Optimist class representative and families.

Logistics: WSC will be providing the Optimist transport trailer for the event with priority spaces allocated for WSC academy members with coaching tickets. Other spaces may become available. Driving to Canberra will happen on Friday 27th of October, boats will need to be loaded by Thursday 26th 6pm. Responsibility of loading is of the sailor/family however please don't hesitate to contact Dan to coordinate assistance) the return will take place as soon as possible after the last race on Sunday 29th of October. Volunteer driver/s with a towbar will be encouraged to take a coach boat to and from Canberra, expenses for the transportation run with be reimbursed by the club.

The host club is Canberra Yacht Club Sailing (canberrayc.com) Parents/Guardians must also register competitors via the offical event website to participate in the ACT Optimist Championships Register HERE for racing.
