Green Fleet
Green fleet is the progression after Tackers 3, for sailors to continue on the sailing pathway and provides an introduction to racing, with simplified rules and shorter race courses.
Our Green Fleet sailors must own their own fibreglass boat at this level. Sailors will be taught to rig and care for their own boat, teaching independence and building their confidence. Throughout the course sailors will learn safe boat handling skills with our structured yet fun course curriculum.
It is recommended that sailors participate in two full sessions per week per term at this level.
Course times:
Sunday sessions run from 9am to 11:30am for 8 weeks
- 8:30am Arrive to rig boat (parents to please supervise)
- 9:00am Coach Briefing and then out on the water
- 11:30am Session End + BBQ (On Race Days)
Qualifying for Green Fleet sailors must:
* Have completed Tackers 3 or equivalent
* Own their own boat (or be willing to start the process) - please contact our club for boat sales enquiries
* Boat storage @woollahrasailingclub.org.au
* Current membership Woollahra Sailing Club - An associate and Junior membership is complementary for the 1st year
