Becoming a Member

Woollahra Sailing Club is one of the biggest and most successful dinghy clubs in Sydney. The club is continuously growing and now consists of more than 850 members.

There are a host of good reasons to become a member of the Woollahra Sailing Club. If you are interested in joining one of the friendliest and most well respected clubs in New South Wales, we would be happy to welcome you aboard!

Membership Details

Boat Storage

Subject to availability, members are able to store their sail boats in the storage yard. To keep your spot, boats must be active during the club racing season which is not hard to do when sailing in the Sydney Harbour! Storage is available to Club Racing Classes and is subject to annual storage fees and the signing of our boat storage agreement.

Woollahra Sailing Club with over 50 years of history as a pure dinghy sailing club it is with a sense of pride that the club embraces the new challenges of the times and creates a clear vision for the years ahead. The Current Committee continues to navigate the Club into a bright and prosperous future- upholding the image of Woollahra Sailing Club being one of the most impressive dinghy sailing clubs in Australia.

The Board – The board is made up of 7 members, whose responsibilities include:

  • Overall leadership and strategic direction of Woollahra Sailing Club (WSC).
  • Represent the WSC at the highest levels.
  • Liaison with and representation to NSW Government, Woollahra Council, Yachting NSW and other bodies as appropriate.
  • Oversee all finance responsibilities in accordance with the Club Constitution


Staff – The day to day running of the club and the training programs is run buy our 4 full-time staff members.

Start paddling

No better way to spend a day than with our Kayak and Standup Paddle (SUP) hire on Sydney Harbour – from Rose Bay



Kayak, Surf Ski & Standup Paddling. The club is home to over 150 Paddle members. Lessons and board hire available.


The club has a dedicated team of instructors and structured sailing program, representing a great way for kids to get onto the water and enjoy the adventures of sailing.
