Woollahra Sailing Club is very pleased to announce that Juliet Schilling has been appointed as our Sailing School Manager. Juliet will lead our Sailing School for students of all ages and work closely with Dan Smith (Sailing Manager and 420 coach) and Alex Zimmermann (Junior Programme Manager) in developing our Junior and Youth programmes.
Juliet is well known across the sailing industry as a Sailing School manager and Senior Instructor. Juliet has managed the Sailing School at Sandringham and Royal Brighton. She brings this experience and a wealth of skills and qualifications to the role.
Juliet brings with her experience with Discover Sailing Centres, a proven record of accomplishment and extensive knowledge of Australian Sailing Pathways and Programmes. She has a serious passion for the sport of sailing, especially within learn to sail areas. Juliet also has experience in sports governance through board directorship roles.
Over the last two years the WSC Sailing School has grown by 200%. This growth is reflected in revenue, the number of participants in learn to sail, intermediate and performance programmes. This is in turn reflected in increased membership, many more junior and youth sailors, and participants in club and regatta racing.
The Club is making significant investments in staff, infrastructure, fleet and yard maintenance. These activities ensure that WSC remains the premier dinghy sailing club in Australia.
