150+ paddler members
Woollahra Sailing Club is home to over 150 paddler members (Kayak, Surf Ski, Standup Paddle Boards) most of whom enjoy storage and the ability to launch straight into the waters of Rose Bay only steps away from the clubhouse itself.
Though each spot uses its own unique craft for manoeuvring across the water, there are many similarities that bind all of them together.
Club Member Camaraderie
All have a band of devoted followers passionate about their sport who share a love of getting out on the water, the camaraderie that being a club member offers and the physical and mental benefits that paddling brings.
The sports are low impact activities that can improve cardiovascular fitness, strength and flexibility.
Paddlebaording in particular has generated such phenomenal interest recently that is is the fast becoming one of Australia’s fastest-growing sports.
Surf Ski, Canoes and Kayaks
If as a paddler you prefer to enjoy the spectacular setting of Rose Bay and Sydney’s East Suburbs as a backdrop while seated rather than standing, the choice is yours.
Few water-based past-times beat the adrenaline rush of surf skiing, while kayaking offers the best of both worlds.
All levels of paddlers are welcome! Simply enjoy the time out on the water or get a full on workout, the choice is yours. Woollahra Sailing Club’s SUP events are great as you can push yourself as hard or as little as you want.
Paddleboard Lessons: Within one lesson you can be up and paddling while enjoying beautiful views of Sydney Harbour and taking in the great outdoors.
Fun Races: Wednesday evening Time Trials is where you compete against yourself and race with like-minded fun paddle people. There are short and long courses.
