Xmas in July/Summer series prize giving
Sun 28 Jul 2019 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Come and join fellow members and friends this July at Woollahra Sailing Club for ‘Christmas in July’. A festive event including a winter feast, some Christmas tunes, and a presentation for the Summer Series of Sailing. This is also an opportunity to see the progress being made to the new ramp which will be nearing completion by then.

The Board of Woollahra Sailing Club advise the Annual General Meeting for 2019 will be held at 7pm on Thursday August 29th 2019 at the Function Room at Woollahra Sailing Club, 2 Vickery Ave, Rose Bay.

B14 European & World Championships – Carnac (FRA)
Good luck to our WSC members and their boats “The Nude” and “Yellowbone” competing in France at the B14 European & World Championships. Carnac (hosting venue) hosted this event in the past and this year the Championships will be even more exciting:
– European Championship (25th-27th of July)
– World Championship (29th of July-2nd of August)
The local organising authority is expecting around 40 boats coming from every side of the planet, including Woollahra Sailing Club =) We encourage our members there to keep us constantly updated .
2019 ILCA Laser Radial Youth World Championships – Kingston (CANADA)
Wednesday 24 July 2019 – Wednesday 31 July 2019
The 2019 ILCA Laser Radial Youth World Championships will be held in Canada from July 24th to 31st. Best of luck to our junior instructor Mena Ferguson and members competing in Kingston.
We always encourage our members overseas to send us pictures or short stories to promote their experience there.
2019 Discover Sailing Centre Competition
Another great achievement for our Club, Australian Sailing released the results of the “2019 Discover Sailing Centre Competition” and Woollahra Sailing Club got the podium for the 3 different categories:
1st: “Tackers 1,2,3 course” participants percentage growth;
2nd: “Largest full course participant percentage growth”;
3rd “Largest full course and experience/intro” participant number growth.
