Yesterday the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia was advised an active Member of the Club and his partner had tested positive for COVID-19. As a result of this news, the CYCA has closed its Clubhouse until further notice, for deep cleaning and for the testing of staff – with the health and safety of Members, guests, staff and the community the CYCA’s number one priority.
As a result, we ask that you do not attend the Club if:
- You attended CYCA at any of these times:
6pm to 7:30pm on Thursday 23 July
3:30pm to 5pm on Friday 24 July
4pm to 5:30pm on Sunday 26 July; or
- You have had interactions with any active CYCA members in the last week.
In accordance with NSW Health directives we ask that anyone who may have been exposed, be tested for COVID-19 and stay away from the Club until they receive a negative test result.
Do not attend the Club if you have visited Victoria or any of these Sydney locations in the last 14 days.
The Club is principally operating as a storage facility with Club racing and some limited training courses. The Club toilets and changerooms are open. The Club cafe and all other internal facilities are closed. This is in accordance with NSW Public Health Orders and cannot be avoided. The situation is constantly changing. Please read the COVID-19 Policy in full before each visit to the Club.
We appreciate your support and commitment to the Club.
