Woollahra SC has based its junior program on an international focus by using the worlds most popular class of dinghy the Optimist class as a basic trainer.
Progression to other well known Australian classes such as Flying 11s can also be facilitated.
Our weekend Junior Program runs every Sunday during school terms. It starts on the water at 9:00am and is run by experienced young sailing instructors and coaches who are keen to get younger sailors into the sport.
Juniors usually commence as beginners and quickly become experienced young sailors. The club provides the boats. The time spent on the water is two hours and all children receive close attention from the coaches and instructors.
